Community Resources

Our parish is called upon to minister to those in need in the community following the example of our patron saint, Martin of Tours. There are many ways to volunteer time and talents (and treasure). For those in need, we hope these resources help you to find the stepping stone needed to move forward in life and in faith.


Sacramental Care

The Legion of Mary will bring Holy Eucharist and visit with you in prayer. Call Bob Berrens to make arrangements for homebound parishioners and those in nursing homes or hospitals.  Telephone (253) 863-4768.


Anointing of the Sick

This sacrament is available after every Mass and by appointment through the parish office.  Call (253) 922-7882.


St. Vincent de Paul

For financial assistance concerning, rent, utilities, prescription medications and some other circumstances call their message phone and leave your information so they can return  your call.  Phone (253) 970-9037


St. Martin of Tours Food Bank  (Fife & Milton)

The Food Bank in Fife is open by appointment on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.  Call in advance at (253) 922-0960.


Food Bank of Edgewood

The Food Bank in Edgewood is open with no appointment necessary on Thursday from 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm and Saturday from 11am to 2 pm. Phone (253) 826-4654


Francis House, Puyallup

Francis House provides clothing, furniture, evening meals, school supplies and other items to those in need in the community.  Phone (253) 848-3618

Catholic Community Services Nativity House

Homeless Adult Services

Provides pathways to permanent housing and self-sufficiency for adult individuals experiencing homelessness. Services include hot meals, day shelter, overnight shelter, mental health and chemical dependency assessments, referrals, rapid re-housing access to mainstream public benefits such as Medicare and SSI, and job training. Services are provided in the largest, most comprehensive facility of its type in Pierce County, which combines the services previously offered by three separate Homeless Adult Service Programs: Hospitality Kitchen, nativity House, and Tacoma Avenue Shelter. Home Care for Elders and People with Disabilities

Volunteer Services of Pierce County

Volunteer Chore Services
